Growing up I was always the kid people turned to when something malfunctioned. I took it upon myself to learn new technologies in order to help friends and family with their various IT related needs. Whether it was configuring personal networks, web building, database management, or simple gaming installation I increasingly found myself in "fix-it" situations.
Because I became interested in how systems function and interact, the field of Computer Science seemed a natural calling. I attended Georgetown University beginning in the fall of 2012. While there, I decided to use my penchant for problem-solving to help fellow students, faculty, and staff at the University Information Services Help Desk. There I solved network connectivity issues and user account issues. My studies at Georgetown gave me a solid background in a variety of programming languages and software such as C++, Java, Spark, Active Directory, and ticketing management programs. I graduate from Georgetown in the spring of 2016 with a Bachelor's of Art in Computer Science.
After my undergraduate career ended, I decided to return to school to pursue a Masters of Science in Computer Information Systems at Prairie View A & M University. I am interested in developing skills in parallel computing and cloud technologies.
